Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Every ring we make starts as somebody's idea. The configurator is where that idea takes shape. You choose the setting, then you choose the stone, and we build the two into one ring at our bench in Hatton Garden.

How it works

1. Choose your setting

The setting is the mount that holds the stone, and it decides how the finished ring reads on the hand. Solitaire, three stone, halo, and the shoulder detail that goes with each. Ten stone shapes and ten metals, from 9ct gold through to 950 platinum.

2. Choose your diamond

Once the setting is chosen you are shown only the stones that suit it, so nothing you pick can fail to fit. Every centre stone can be supplied with GIA or IGI certification.

3. We make it

The CAD design comes first, so you approve the exact ring before any metal is cut. Nothing reaches the bench until you are happy with it.

What it costs

Settings start at £910. A complete ring, setting and centre stone together, starts at £2,000. Most commissions land between £3,000 and £12,000.

The configurator prices everything as you build, so you can see what each choice does to the total rather than waiting on a quote.

A design fee of £350 covers the CAD work, and it comes off the price of the ring when you go ahead.

How long it takes

Three to four weeks from the moment you approve the CAD design. Allow four to six weeks end to end from your first conversation, which leaves room for choosing the stone and revising the drawing.

What you get

Every ring is hallmarked at the London Assay Office. Centre stones come with GIA or IGI certification.

CAD design and bench finishing happen here at The Goldsmiths' Centre. Casting and stone setting go to specialist workshops we have worked with for years, which is how the work gets done properly rather than quickly.

If you would rather talk first

The configurator is there whenever you want it, and plenty of people prefer to begin with a conversation instead. We are a by-appointment atelier, so there is time set aside for you rather than a counter to queue at.
