Bespoke Earrings

Earrings sit close to the face, so their proportions and the way they hang matter as much as the stones themselves. Our founder has designed and made fine jewellery in London since 1999, and every pair is designed in CAD and hand-finished at our own bench, with casting and setting carried out by trusted specialist workshops. From a single pair of diamond studs to chandelier designs, we build each piece around the person who will wear it.

Styles we make

We design across the full range, from quiet everyday pieces to earrings made for an occasion. Diamond studs remain the most requested, and for good reason: they suit any wardrobe, any age and almost any moment, which makes a pair one of the more considered gifts you can give.

  • Diamond studs, single-stone and four-claw or rubover set
  • Halo studs, with a surrounding row of smaller diamonds
  • Drop earrings, fixed or articulated to move with you
  • Hoops, from fine plain bands to diamond-set designs
  • Chandelier earrings for evening and formal wear

Fittings and comfort

How an earring fastens decides how it feels over a long day. Studs are made with posts and butterflies, while heavier drops are often better on lever-backs, which close securely and hold the weight evenly. For unpierced ears we can adapt many designs to clip or screw fittings without losing the line of the piece.

We size posts and backs to the individual ear, and we balance the weight of larger earrings so they hang correctly rather than tipping forward.

Matching what you already wear

Many clients come to us to make earrings that speak to a piece they already own, often an engagement ring or a pendant. We can echo a claw style, a metal or a diamond grade so the pieces read as a set rather than a coincidence. If you would like a coordinating pendant made at the same time, we can design both together.

Diamonds, gemstones and metals

We work in platinum and 18ct yellow, white and rose golds. For stones we offer both natural and laboratory-grown diamonds, each independently graded, alongside coloured gemstones such as sapphire, emerald and ruby. Pricing depends on the piece, the metal and the stones you choose, and is quoted per commission after a consultation.

Common questions

Can you match earrings to my engagement ring?

Yes. Bring the ring to your appointment, or send clear photographs and any paperwork. We can match the metal, the setting style and, where you wish, the diamond grade so the earrings sit naturally alongside it.

Do you make earrings for unpierced ears?

We do. Many stud, drop and hoop designs can be made with clip or screw fittings, fitted comfortably to your ear, with no change to how the front of the earring looks.

How long does a commission take?

Most pairs take a few weeks from approved design to finished piece, depending on the stones and the complexity of the work. We will give you a realistic timeline at your consultation and keep you updated as we make them.

What styles of bespoke earrings do you make?

We design and make every style of bespoke fine earrings: diamond stud earrings, halo studs, drop earrings, chandelier earrings, hoop earrings with and without diamonds, cluster earrings, pearl earrings, gemstone drops, and climber-style ear cuffs. Each pair is matched for colour, clarity, and cut so both earrings appear identical.

How do you match diamonds for a pair of earrings?

Matching stones is one of the hardest parts of earring commissions. We hand-pick matching pairs sourced to your brief, matching on measured length and width (not just carat), colour grade, clarity characteristics, and cut proportions. For important pieces we compare both stones carefully side by side before final approval.

Can earrings be made with heirloom stones?

Absolutely. If you have a single diamond or gemstone from an inherited piece, we can source a matching partner stone (or two, for chandelier designs) and mount both in new earrings. If you have a pair of old stones, we can re-cut for modern faceting and re-set in a contemporary design. Bring them to a consultation or post insured to our studio.

How much do bespoke earrings cost?

Bespoke diamond stud earrings start from approximately £1,200 in 18ct gold with two 0.30ct diamonds. Halo studs from £2,500. Drop earrings and chandelier designs range from £3,000 to £15,000+ depending on total diamond weight and design complexity. Pearl and gemstone earrings start from around £800. Fixed quotes at consultation.

Which ear piercings do you accommodate?

Standard post-and-butterfly for pierced ears, with additional options for screw-back fittings (more secure for heavy pieces), lever-back (elegant for drops), hinged French wire, clip-on conversion for non-pierced wearers, and magnetic clip fittings. We fit the back style to suit both the piece weight and your lifestyle.
