Three generations of jewellers
by Hatton Garden Bespoke Jewellery 2 min read
You do not have to be in London to have a ring made in Hatton Garden. We work with clients across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia who want a piece designed and finished by hand in the heart of London's jewellery quarter, and who are happy to have it made remotely and delivered to their door.
Remote commissioning suits a particular kind of project. It is at its best for significant pieces: an engagement ring built around a notable centre stone, an heirloom diamond reset into something new, or a milestone piece where the design and the stone justify the care involved. If that is what you have in mind, distance is no obstacle.
Hatton Garden has been London's centre for fine jewellery for generations, and the craftsmanship carries a reputation that travels. For many of our international clients, the appeal is a piece made the traditional way, hallmarked at the London Assay Office, with a certified diamond chosen to their brief, rather than something bought from a case.
Working remotely also gives you time. There is no pressure of a showroom. You see your ring as a detailed CAD render and approve every element before anything is made.
Most of our commissions fall between £3,000 and £20,000, with the diamond sized to your budget. For an overseas commission we tend to focus on significant pieces, where the result is worth the journey for both of us. We will always be clear about cost before any work begins, and there is no obligation at the enquiry stage.
Your finished piece arrives with its hallmark, the diamond certificate, and an invoice as proof of value for your own insurance. Every diamond we set is conflict-free and responsibly sourced.
If you would like to understand how a remote project unfolds, read how we commission from anywhere. When you are ready, send us a message with your idea and a rough budget, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people to make it. We typically reply within four working hours.
Visit our Hatton Garden workshop by appointment, or message us to begin remotely.
