Design Your Emerald Engagement Ring

Use the builder above to design your own emerald engagement ring. Start by choosing your stone, then choose the setting that frames it. You shape the ring as you go, and our Hatton Garden workshop makes the final piece bespoke, designed in CAD and finished by hand.

How the builder works

First, choose your emerald, working through the stones on offer until one feels right. Next, choose your setting in platinum or one of our 18ct golds. Watch the ring come together on screen as you adjust each part. When you are happy, send it to us and we make it bespoke, hand-finished in our workshop at The Goldsmiths' Centre.

A note on emerald

Emerald is green beryl, softer and more brittle than sapphire or ruby, so it suits protective settings and gentler wear. Almost all emeralds are oil-treated to improve clarity, which is normal and expected. For the full picture on colour, care and choosing a stone, read the emerald guide.

Common questions

Is an emerald suitable for everyday wear?

It can be, with the right design. Because emerald is more delicate, we tend to suggest bezels, halos or protected shoulders rather than exposed claws, and we will advise on the safest setting for how you live and work.

Can I see the emerald in person first?

Yes. Design your ring in the builder, then book an appointment to view stones and settings with us before anything is made. Nothing goes to the bench until you have approved the final design.
